Evenings – Dinner at the location you choose. Hotel Les Roches Rouges has a lovely dinner menu and names and locations of other options will be available.

 

Fire: “Understanding The Fire Within”
Have there been times when you wondered what it was going to take to light the fire within to get moving and keep moving, to become more flexible and understand what’s most important for your unique body? Well, so have many of us. During the morning session, Katy will lead us through the science-based system of diagnostic and prescriptive exercises that are designed for the realization of optimal wellness and empowerment.
 

Earth: “Deeply Grounded”
Building on our learning experience from the morning session, we will set out to connect with the earth and practice what we learned – walking/hiking as Katy facilitates additional learning with us about our body movements and the nuances of our gait.


 

 


Second Day – Water: Tuesday, October 13, 2009

Water: “Awakening The Flow”
Please bring your notebook/journal.  Flow has been defined by psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi as an optimal state of human experience in which individuals are fully engaged in creative endeavors, experiencing fulfillment, happiness, and well-being. During our morning session, we will “Awaken The Flow” of writing.

 

Afternoon at the Beach:
Each wave has within it a splash of wisdom. Our afternoon will involve facilitated group water activities.
 

 

 


Third Day – Air: Wednesday, October 14, 2009

Tip:
So that your body has time to digest your wonderful breakfast and lunch meals and prepare for your air day activities, we recommend you plan to eat breakfast before 9 am and lunch before 1:00 pm.

 

Air: “Give The Child Within A Wide Sky….and Breathe”

It’s your day of Yoga and Breathwork. Please bring your yoga mat, pillow, blanket, eye mask and dress comfortably. Yoga will balance mind and body via controlled breathing, and the calming of the mind through relaxation and meditative practices. Yoga uses breathing techniques and relaxation methods to explore the internal framework of the mind and soul. It provides the structure for experiencing mental and spiritual wholesomeness. By combining physical postures, awareness methods and breathing techniques, the mind becomes silent and the body becomes refreshed and rejuvenated.
